The Junior Statesmen Summer School is looking for 8th–12th grade students who have a passionate interest in politics and current events. Summer at Hopkins information is available at www.jhu.edu/summer. To be eligible for the "Pre-College" and "Discover Hopkins" Summer Programs: you must be at least 15 years old; have completed your sophomore, junior, or senior year of high school; and have at least a 3.0 GPA) by Summer 2007. Outstanding students who are entering their sophomore year and who are 15 may also apply. Admission is competitive, and your application will not be considered until it is complete. Please refer to the dates on this Web site for deadlines. The application requires completing the application form with an essay and submitting your official high school transcript, standardized test scores (PSAT, SAT, or ACT), and recommendations. You should apply as far in advance as possible to assure a place in the program or in the course(s) of your choice.
