Camelot Musicians Visit Recording Studio
During Special Session (the time between semesters when students at Camelot spend time learning things outside the standard curriculum), a small group of students, accompanied by Musical Director, Glenn Mehrbach visited Overdub Lane Recording, a professional recording studio here in Durham. The students spent about 5 hours first touring the facility, where local professional groups such as Squirrel Nut Zippers regularly record, then laying down some tracks of their own. Versions ‘Moondance’ by Van Morrison and ‘All My Love’ by Led Zeppelin were recorded digitally and then layered with additional tracks.
