We had another big week of settling in and there were several times where the engagement and “flow” was palpable!

Our cross country team competed in their first meet and our Upper School musicians had their first gathering.

Behind the scenes:

We are busily preparing for Faculty Retreat this week.  These upcoming three days are super-packed with a student-by-student review as well as programmatic and curricular discussions.  Our time and labor-intensive opening sequence allows us to create a personalized experience for exuberant learners and instructors. This process is an integral part of the Camelot methodology and we are deeply appreciative of the support of our families in making this time professional reflection and practice possible.

School Closed for Faculty Retreat:

Wednesday- Friday, September 21, 22 and 23

Family input is sought for our Retreat discussion.

PARENTS/GUARDIANS - Please fill out this Feedback form by TUESDAY AT NOON so we can include your thoughts in our discussions.

NOTE - students are also being provided the opportunity to provide feedback via classroom exercises and surveys in Google Classrooms.

We will NOT have COVID testing this Friday (since we are closed). Testing will be done on campus for all on Monday, September 26.

Weekly COVID Update:

We had ONE positive test this week with ZERO results still pending.

Durham County CDC level is MEDIUM (weekly update as of 9/15/22.

This is the second of the two consecutive weeks needed for our policies to adjust to mask-optional indoors.

IMPORTANT NOTE:  All students must continue to have a mask as part of their required on-campus daily school supplies.  Masks are REQUIRED on all school transport- to the farm, Yates, athletics and our many other outings. Thanks for your help with this.

I hope you have a great week.
