Greetings and Happy March!
We welcome Middle Grades student Bianca Lemen and Family to our school.
Congrats to MAPP teacher Amy Shields and her husband Dave, who are expecting their second child, a boy, in early July.
REMIND:
Apiary Club plans to head to the farm this Wednesday, with pick up from Camelot at 5 PM (weather dependent).
School is closed next Monday, March 11, for Faculty Retreat.

Message from the Math Department:
Calling all Pi(e) Lovers!
Let's not be too rational: it's always nice to find a good excuse to celebrate both the wonder of mathematics, and the eating of pie! On Thursday, March 14th, Camelot will be having a Pi Day celebration, and if you would like to contribute, we would love to feature your pie! If you have a special flavor you love, and wish to pick it up at the store to send to school that day, or wish to acquaint our taste buds with some of the infinite products of your home recipes and ovens, either kind will be welcomed! Let us transcend the bounds of traditional education, and gather together to celebrate the infinite curiosity that mathematics can spark with its wonders, and the delicious treat of pie!
Message from the Perimeter Project Communications Committee:
Dear Parents,
Upper School Perimeter Project Committees met last Friday, and we are excited to share the following highlights!
- The Building Committee went to the farm for instruction on how to build a fence.
- The Planning Committee worked on finalizing the idea for a barrier along the back part of the yard along Shepherd Street. Currently, the idea is to have a split-rail fence with hanging planter boxes. The fence will be built in moveable sections to allow flexibility.
- The Permitting Committee looked into the details of getting a Certificate of Appropriateness from Durham’s Historic Preservation Committee. This is a key step before building can begin, as Camelot lies within the Morehead Hill Historic District and must adhere to certain guidelines.
