I hope your family has been enjoying a nice Spring Break.  We look forward to resuming classes on TUESDAY.

 

Congratulations to these members of the Class of ‘24 on their recent college acceptances:

 

-         Olivia Corliss to NYU Tisch School of the Arts, Boston Conservatory at Berklee - BFA Musical Theater, Northwestern University and Pace University with a 128K President’s Scholarship.

 

-         Katie Castelo to NC State University and from Elon University a 40 K Presidential and 20K Health Profession Scholarship.

 

 

KUDOS to the MAPP TeamNicole, Leah, Rachel, Anna, Greg, Clare and Amy Shields. Under their guidance the MAPP students hosted a wonderful Academic Fair for their families.

 

THANK YOU to Amy Cummings for leading our inaugural Parent Book Club Session.  It yielded a great mix of perspectives from parents at all phases of the parenting journey.

 

 

REMIND:

 

Golf Club starts Tuesday.  Participants should refer to the email they received from Coach Greg before break.

 

Mid Semester Reports- remain viewable on Achieve until Monday, April 8.

-         Mid Semester Warnings need to be acknowledged by that date, as well.

 

Spring Dance/Social is in the works for 8th-12th grade students!

-         Save the Date: Friday, April 19 from 7-9pm

ANNOUNCE:

 

Upper School Gold has their last Friday X Class before the May session this Friday (April 5).

-         Those in Cooking/Rock Climbing may be dismissed at 12:30 or stay until 1:30 for OPTIONAL meeting with me on building their future academic plans*

-         Those in Civics, Data Analytics and Environmental Science meet from 12:30 - 2 and are dismissed at 2 PM unless they have JUNIOR MEETING with me*

-         Juniors (Class of ’25) meet with me from 2-3:30 PM

** (Those in Model UN may stay through the afternoon or leave and return.)

 

We will be conducting State-required nationally-normed testing in the coming weeks. 

On April 16,17 and 18 (Tuesday-Thursday)  most 2nd-10th graders will take the ERB CTP tests in the morning. 

PLEASE AVOID ABSENCES FOR APPOINTMENTS DURING THESE TIMES. 

-         Nature Start, Kindergarten and 1st grade students will have off-campus trips during these testing times.

-         Students with exemptions (testing elsewhere) and/or requiring 1:1 accommodations in a NON-REQUIRED year will be contacted this week with alternate plans for this time.

-         Juniors will meet with me (arrive at school) at 10:30 on April 16 and 17 and will arrive at NOON on April 18 for afternoon classes.

-         Seniors will arrive at 12:30 on April 16, and at 1 PM on April 17.  On Thursday,  April 18 they should arrive at 10:30 to meet with me about graduation speeches.
