2018 Spring Club Sign Up Form

Spring 2018 Club Sign Up – Due Friday, Feb. 2nd!

  • Club Previews run the week of January 29 - Feb 2.
  • An After-Care Fee of $12.00 per day will apply to Preview Week.
  • Payment for clubs is due by Friday, February 2nd and does not cover the Preview Week.
  • Clubs run from 3:30 – 4:30 PM, unless noted otherwise.
  • Students who wish to enroll in a club must do so by Friday, February 2nd.
  • Spring clubs end the week of May 7-11, unless otherwise noted.
  • Minimum enrollment of 5, unless otherwise listed, maximum enrollment set by instructor

Rather than being billed for After-Care Fees, students who enroll in a club will pay at the time of registration. This will stabilize club enrollment and minimize bookkeeping. There will be no refunds for missed sessions.

Mondays

Strategy Board Games (Grades 3-12) 7 sessions; Club Fee: $136* (Includes Material Fee)

Instructors: Michelle Banal and Josh Erb
Weekly Club Time is 3:30 – 5 PM.

Club Dates Are: February 5, 12, 26; March 5, 12, 19; April 23

Strategy board games by Fantasy Flight Games such as Citadels, Hasbro games such as Risk, IDW Games such as Machi Koro, MayFair Games such as Settlers of Catan, Rio Grande Games such as Dominion, Z-man Games such as Pandemic, & many more will be hosted by Ms. Michelle. Our Big Hall and the Middle Grades classroom will be transformed into an open hall of tables hosting various games.

Tuesdays

Movement, Dance and Poetry (Grades 7-12) 12 sessions Fee: $249.00 (Includes Studio Fee)

Instructor: Megan Fitz
Weekly Club Time is 3:30 – 5 PM.

Shake out the day, relax and explore your authentic movement in the playful and mostly improvisational class. The class will end with reflection and an opportunity for writing and sharing.

Note: Some classes will be taught at Lyon Park Dance Studio and some at Camelot Academy. Drop-off and pick-up will be from Camelot Academy each week.

Wednesdays

Expressive Arts Group (Grades 5-8) 11 sessions Fee: $198.00 (Includes Material Fee)

Instructor: Megan Fitz
Weekly Club Time is 3:30 – 5 PM.

Start off the year with some time for expression and reflection in this arts group. We will explore improvisational modalities of dance/movement, music, drama, visual arts and writing. This group will be both playful and interactive, as well as allowing time for personal reflection. No prior experience of skills required.

Thursdays

Crochet for Charity (Grades 5-12); 11 sessions; Fee: $167.00 (Includes Material Fee)

Instructor: Liz Benda (Limited to 8 students)
Weekly Club Time is 3:30 – 4:30 PM.

Students will make fleece blankets and crochet around the edge and, if time allows, make a crochet animal hat. Students will learn single crochet, double crochet, chain stitching, joining, increasing, decreasing, and making turning chains. Projects will be donated to an organization (such as Project Linus) that serves children. No prior crochet experience needed.

Fridays

LEGO Club (Ages 5 - 8); 7 Sessions; Fee $84.00

Instructor: Coach Robyn Stephens
Weekly Club Time is 3:30 – 4:30 PM.

Club Dates are: February 9, 23; March 2, 16; April 6, 13; May 11

What child doesn't love Legos? Lego Club is designed to provide members with an enjoyable activity that stimulates and develops spatial intelligence. Students will build vehicles, buildings, gears and whatever leaps into their imaginations! This club is a chance to offer your child a time to relax, create, innovate and collaborate.
