Weekly Update for 04/20/2025

Greetings and Happy Easter to those celebrating!
Last week was full of preparation for Evening of the Arts. Props and art pieces are in the works and the air was filled with the sound of rehearsals of the musical numbers. We are excited to welcome you to the return of the event to the Hayti Heritage Center on May 2nd.
REMIND:
School is closed tomorrow (Monday) and on Friday (April 25).
Tuesday-Thursday:
- Grades 3-10 (some, not all 10th) - Mornings - ERB Testing
- Grades K-2- Mornings - Field Trips
- Gold Schedule students - arrive on time (by 9 AM) for transport to Yates Baptist Church- where math and English classes will be held
- Hill students – have been advised as to their schedule for the week
ANNOUNCE:
All students are reminded that arriving at school well-rested and having eaten breakfast is incredibly beneficial to test performance.
Students who are sick should stay home - especially those with persistent coughs.
Seniors (Class of ‘25) are dismissed at 12:30 on Tuesday and at 1:45 on Thursday
Juniors (Class of ‘26) are dismissed at 2 PM Tuesday and at Noon on Thursday
Our Wednesday afternoon activities are weather-dependent.
- Plan A is for a whole school talent show on the lawn
- - Upper School (Gold and Purple) - optional early dismissed at 2:30.

- Plan B (rain) is to have the talent show at the gym of Yates Baptist Church
- - Upper School (Gold and Purple) dismissal at the usual time.
