Weekly Update for 09/21/2025
Sunday, September 21, 2025
Greetings!
Thank you for the wonderful turnout to Parent Night. We hope you found the experience both enjoyable and useful to your family’s Camelot experience.
BEHIND THE SCENES:
We are approaching an important “bend in the road” in the Camelot opening sequence. With much of the “group work” of orientations, review/pre-assessment and Parent Night behind us, this week we take a deep-dive into the individualization of each student’s path for the year. We will bring our own collection of data points - both observed and demonstrated - along with parent and student feedback to fine tune the plans during Faculty Retreat.
REMIND:
School is closed to students this Wednesday, Thursday and Friday for Faculty Retreat.
ANNOUNCE:
---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
IMPORTANT: Each family (PK-12) should fill out a Retreat Feedback Form for each Camelot student. This info will be reviewed during our meetings. Your feedback and input is essential to our work and is much appreciated.
PLEASE COMPLETE THIS SURVEY NO LATER THAN NOON on Tuesday, Sept 23.

Academic Fair projects have launched for Upper School students. As such, they will have a library trip Monday morning (downtown branch) and will have asynchronous work to complete during the Faculty Retreat later this week.
Parent Service Opportunities:
Fuel the Faculty - Take 2!
As you know, the faculty has three full days of retreat meetings Wednesday-Friday of this week. In response to positive feedback for this kind of activity we have created another opportunity. Please sign-up for a slot on this link. There are three 7:30 AM breakfast slots available on each of the mornings. Your contribution/services count as one semester of Parent Service credit for one student! Thank you, in advance.

WE NEED MORE Job Shadows - Parent Assistance Needed!
Camelot is looking for job shadow opportunities for our Upper School students during the week of Family Conferences (Oct. 13-17, 2025). These are typically a couple of hours to a half day in length. If you are able to offer such an experience to our students, please complete this Google Form to provide more information. (An important note: Hosting a job shadow counts towards Parent Service hours!)
We wish a Happy New Year to all those celebrating Rosh Hashanah this week. Also, to all those traveling during our meetings we with you safe journeys!
Best,
Thelma
