Weekly Update for 01/18/2026
Sunday, January 18, 2026
Greetings!
I hope your family is enjoying the long holiday weekend.
Congratulations to Senior RIsen Zhang on his acceptance to Villanova University.
BEHIND THE SCENES:
We had a very productive Teacher Work Day on Friday and officially concluded Semester One. As a child, one of my favorite books was The Little Engine That Could. I find myself recalling the refrain, “I think we can, I think we can….” as our amazing team chugs up the hill that comes with this time of year - exams, reports, a new set of Upper School electives, a new set of school-wide clubs, the launch of Summer Program registration, the anticipation of our February 7 Open House……”Toot! Toot”!
Special thanks to Amy Shields for her Herculean work to pull 20 brand-new summer programs together that are now live and ready for registration. You will find multiple offerings for students from 4 to 18 years old. We are especially pleased to note that many of these program concepts have come from our students. Their enthusiasm is palpable as folks were trying to register before the page went live! Here is the link: https://camelotacademy.jumbula.com/
REMIND:
School is closed on Monday in observance of Martin Luther King Jr Day.
Lego Club has a make-up session on Thursday.

We are thrilled that teacher Magda Sims will be returning from her first semester medical leave to participate in these electives!
