Greetings!

Congratulations to the following seniors on their recent college acceptances:

Risen Zhang- NC State College of Engineering, Stony Brook, Rutgers, and Ohio State University.

Thomas Mampilly - NC State University

Hiba Ali- NC State College of Agricultural and Life Sciences and Agnes Scott College (with a 128K Agnes Scott Visionary Scholarship)

Kudos to Camelot’s first-ever High School Battle of the Books team (and Coach Amy C) who traveled to Durham School of the Arts on Saturday morning.  This was a tough match-up as Durham School of the Arts’ high school team won the state championship last year. Camelot pulled out a win with a final score of 55 - 52.

Way to go,  Coach Scott and our Ultimate Frisbee Team who wrapped up their season last week.  We look forward to celebrating their teamwork very soon.

BEHIND THE SCENES:

The Achieve Portal opens tomorrow (look for the email announcement from Wendy).

Logan and my sister Donna (who manages our Achieve World) deserve applause for their great work on the grade reports and managing all of the details inherent in documenting so many “Unique Paths!”

PARENTS/GUARDIANS - Here is the key to getting the most out of this documentation

- Follow the LINKS provided in the comment sections to find detailed skill and content info, additional comments, student work - and voice - and much more.  (Kindergarten reports do not have links in the First Semester so that teachers can explain that content first in conference.)

REMIND:

Family Conferences are Tuesday after school through Friday -

We are very excited to host our Family Conferences in person this week! The boon to our partnership when we can all be in the same space together is great - we appreciate your efforts to make it happen.

Reminder:

Students in the 6th-12th grade must be in attendance at their conference (this is optional for our 3rd-5th graders)

- Please review all report card info in advance and come to your conference with any thoughts or questions.

On a different note - The Upper School DANCE is less than two weeks away.

Door prizes are still needed. Here is that call to action:

We are seeking door prizes ($10-$15 range) for the Upper School dance on February 21st. Possible ideas include gift cards, accessories, treats, etc. If you wish to donate something, please drop it off with a staff person. Thanks for considering this request!

In addition to contributing your favorite sweet culinary creations, Camelot would love to recruit your participation, too! If you wish to contribute some special math wizardry to demonstrate to the gathered crowd, show a special circular skill, or just help out with the general merriment, then please let us know your interest by filling out this short form. https://docs.google.com/forms/d/e/1FAIpQLScM5KL5I5o-CCe4xYjeYB0FbKQs2Y9JLoa3SHH5fPsdUcuGBA/viewform

Face-painters and folks to help out with bubble-wands are also needed.

Wellness Update:
