Good News:

Our High School Model UN Team is at UNC today for Day 3 of activities. We are very proud of their research and preparation and their commitment to honing their presentation skills in the interest of diplomacy.

 

BEHIND THE SCENES:

Despite the gloomy weather last week spirits were high as MAPP students started decorating their Academic Fair boards with much enthusiasm.  Meanwhile, many Middle Grades students took their recent explorations of cob house building and water reclamation for further investigation at the farm property.

Monday, March 2 – “Holiday Hooray Day!” 

Dress up as your favorite holiday—whether it’s Christmas, World Book Day, or National Soup Day! Show your festive spirit and celebrate what makes you smile all year long.

Tuesday, March 3 – “Purple & Gold Parade!” 

Shine bright in Camelot’s royal colors! Deck yourself out in purple and gold to show off your school pride and sparkle like the royalty you are.

Wednesday, March 4 – “ Wacky Wednesday!” 

Mismatched socks? Crazy hair? Backwards clothes? The wackier, the better! Let your imagination run wild and bring on the giggles.

Thursday, March 5 – “Anything but a Backpack!” 

Anything but a backpack! Bring your school supplies in the most creative way you can think of—laundry baskets, suitcases, buckets, or something totally unexpected!

Friday, March 6 – “Pajama Day!” . *****

Roll out of bed and straight into school spirit! Wear your favorite pajamas and end the week wrapped in comfort and smiles.

*****Those having a picture retake on Friday may wish to bring a change of clothes/pajamas.

 

Jill Pitino Update:

Former Camelot Admin Jill Pitino’s son has set up a team in her name for Duke’s upcoming 5K and Walk for Hope to raise funds for brain tumor research.

Pi Day Plans:

It's happening again! Let's not be TOO rational... it's always nice to find a good excuse to celebrate both the wonder of mathematics, and the eating of pie! On Friday, March 13th, Camelot will be having its annual Pi Day celebration, and if you would like to contribute, we would love to feature your pie! If you have a special flavor you love, and wish to pick it up at the store to send to school that day, or wish to acquaint our taste buds with some of the infinite products of your home recipes and ovens, either kind will be welcomed! Let us transcend the bounds of traditional education, and gather together to celebrate the infinite curiosity that mathematics can spark with its wonders, and the delicious treat of pie! Wellness Update:
