Congratulations to the following seniors on their recent college acceptances:

Risen Zhang - Bentley University, Skidmore College, Fordham University, University of Washington, University of Florida, George Washington University.

 

Kudos to sophomore Alex Morgan on his recent acceptance to the NC School of Science and Math Online Program.

 

BEHIND THE SCENES:

Last week was a high water mark for building and project work - everywhere you looked there was the buzz of activity.  Nature Start chose native plants to put in the student-built planter boxes, MG STEM students were applying their math skills in a very unique construction project with Oreo cookie-based “concrete,” Physics students were running saws and stepping back to contemplate in their creation of Rube Goldberg machines.  The joyful learning vibe on these days is a treasure.

 

My Morning Meetings also had many highlights last week including Jr MAPP’s thoughts on what kind of learning and training it would take to be an astronaut on Artemis and the juniors and seniors meeting together for a “passing of the torch” kind of gathering that included sharing senior year lessons learned and writing pieces.  It was beautiful and poignant.  I look forward to sharing the Class of ‘26 with you at Evening of the Arts and graduation.

Monday - The Farm Stand will have fresh eggs after school tomorrow.  In breaking news - a mama hen has been tending to hatching eggs at the farm all weekend!
